This is an community-developed system module implementation of the Shadow of the Weird Wizard game for Foundry VTT, graciously endorsed by Schwalb Entertainment.
It allows you to play your Shadow of the Weird Wizard games within the virtual tabletop environment with robust support for most features needed to play the game.
The system module is compatible with Foundry v12, with a modern design & several steps of automation to make characters easy to build and games easy to run.
Core Features
Among the many features the system has implemented, below are some highlights.
- Themed UI and sheets for player characters, enemies/NPCs, equipment, talents, and much more.
- Custom dice roller apps and display for attribute and luck rolls, including automatic and situational boons and banes, custom tailored for Weird Wizard.
- Custom compact and streamlined handling of weapons, attacks, equipment, spells, traits and talent, including contextual sheets, optional target selection, printing to chat with visibility modes support and more. Supports both Shift, Ctrl and Alt + Left Click contextual modifiers or Right Click context menus, as you see fit.
- Mouse hover tooltips in-site to allow Sages and players to quickly remember or check for information without cluttering the sheets.
- Custom and simplified effect system that allows instant effects (ex. damage, healing, health loss), temporary effects (ex. afflictions) and permanent effects (ex. defense from armor). Effects are handled by sheets, context menus and interactive chat messages with application buttons and custom enriched text.
- Custom drag and drop functionality for ancestries, paths, talents, spells and inventory to quickly build or edit player characters, enemies and allies.
- Automatic calculation of derived stats like health and bonus damage for afflictions and other ongoing effects, as well as on level up for paths.
- Custom container functionality and weight calculation for inventory management.
- Custom turn/combat tracker tailored for the game's unique flow of rounds and turns, including an interactive icon-based UI and contextual prompts for players.
- Dynamic and compact tracking of afflictions, damage/health, equipment/talent uses and spell castings.
- Dynamic token icons overlay for indicating a creature's health and combat status.
- Centralized sage tools for tracking quest/world time, quick access to compendia and player control.
- System Documentation compendia and automatic replayable Tours with explanations.
- Custom inline rolls and calls handled through enriched text.

The core system module includes baseline content from the Shadow of the Weird Wizard rulebook to get you started with your games:
- Novice paths and associated talents (no traditions included at this time!)

- In-site descriptions for afflictions and all of the above!

Installation and Usage
How to Install
The system can be installed from within Foundry VTT's admin panel: go into the Game Systems tab, click Install System, then search for “Shadow of the Weird Wizard” and click Install.
Using the System Module
The system includes Tours for the Character and NPC sheets, initiated automatically during the first setup. The tours make a breakthrough of many features included in the system, but only for creature sheets.
It also has on-site mouse hover tooltips for almost everything. If you are stuck with something, the information might be in the tooltip!
For the more advanced features, such as how to properly create Ancestries/Paths/Professions or how to use inline rolls, please check the System Documentation reference under the SotWW folder in the compendium tabs.

We suggest you to join the SotDL for Foundry VTT Discord server, as it is our main community hub for information, as well as coordinating feedback, bug reports and contributions.
