The Curse of the Frostmaiden theme from The MAD Cartographer!
This module pack contains:
- 150 unique battlemaps complete with dynamic walling, lighting, and ambient audio.
- 13 asset tiles for use in your own maps.
This product includes the following maps:
- Gulthias Tree - A cursed tree that sits upon a massive burial mound, and spews forth a constant stream of unholy blights. The Gulthias Tree is worshipped by a sect of druids, who are said to feed their revered dead into the great maw of the rotting tree. Variants of this map are included for Day/Night, as well as Misty/Blood Moon weather variants.
- Barovia Crossroads - A crossing in the woods splits the path in 4, with equally eerie roads spanning out through the pines in each direction. To the side rests the remains of an abandoned wagon. Variants of this map are included for Day/Night.
- Lake Zarovich - The dark still waters of Lake Zarovich are said to occasionally brim with thousands of dead fish after sudden and severe lightning storms. Variants of this map are available with the shore and pier, open waters, and open waters with row boats.
- Gates of Barovia - The massive and imposing gates of Barovia have fallen to ruin, although they still strike an impressive sight. Towering statues stand guard either side of a rusted iron gate beneath a ruined stone wall, bridging the cliffs on either side. These gates make for a forboding sight. Variants of this map are included for Day/Night, as well as Misty/Blood Moon weather
- Tser Falls Bridge - This stone bridge is lined with statues and eternally-burning braziers, and stretches over a massive canyon that plummets 1000ft into the fast-moving waters that stem from the base of the Tser Falls. Variants of this map are included for Day/Night, as well as a lower distance down to the waters below, and variable river bank distances.
- Forest Pass - A winding path through rocky forested hills and ledges, this path takes you through a cart-travelled path through the forest. Variants are included for Day/Night/Snowy. Special variants are included with a fallen tree blocking the path, tracks in the snow, or the bloody remains of a sled ambush in the snow.
- Trapper's Cabin - A small cabin in the woods, perhaps this serves as a small lodge for a local ranger, or an individual your characters need to visit for information. Small modest furnishings make for a humble abode here. Variants are included for Day/Night, Forest/Snow, and Interior/Exterior combinations of all.
- Easthaven Ferry - A wooden jetty next to the sea, the ever-encroaching ice of an unnaturally long winter is creeping in and now chokes the small wooden ship that is moored here. Variants are included for the ship cabin's interior/exterior, with/without the jetty and boat, and Day/Night.
- Reghed Tribe Camp - A nomadic group move across the icy plains, constructing their elk-skin tents with practiced efficiency each evening. A larger tent contains the leader and most powerful warrior of the group, whilst elsewhere in the encampment the bounty of the day's harvest is being prepared for use by the camp. Variants are included for Day/Night, as well as night with/without camp fires lit, and a variant for overhead aurora illuminating the camp.
- Goblin Wagon - A large natural rock bridge forms an arch in this hilly area of the tundra. Converging on this bridge is a large wooden Goblin wagon pulled by a pair of trained polar bears, and another sled arriving from the other direction. Variants are included for Day/Night, and with/without the wagon and sled.
- Grimskalle - A forboding Frost Giant fortress, constructed high in the arctic wastes. Grimskulle's skull-facade is intended to intimidate away travellers and would-be plunderers, but even the giants have prey - and now a giant Roc has made her nest atop the keep. Variants are included for Day/Night, with/without giant nest, and a desert variant of Grimskalle.
- Obelisks - A ring of obisian obelisks stand in the snowy wastes. Variants are included with/without a statue in the centre, as well as Day/Night/Aurora/Blood Moon. There are also variants with the statue glowing and without.
- Crevasse - High in the mountains and alpine trees, a ravine rends a giant fissure through the rock, creating a wide crevasse that must be traversed. Variants are included with/without a bridge, and with a magical rift filling the crevasse - with green, red, and purple rift variants.
- Tundra Road - In a particularly remote part of the arctic wastes, great stone spikes protrude from the frozen earth. It is easy to get lost in the almost permanent blizzards that exist here, so considerate travellers have made a guiding path of stones over the years. Variants are included for Day/Night/Blizzard/Aurora.
- Winding Path - A snowy switchback pass grants access to a higher (or lower!) part of the frozen peaks. Variants are included for Day/Night/Blizzard/Trees.
- Cliff Edge - A narrow pass halfway up the mountainside. Climbing up would be treacherous, but going off the edge means almost certain death. The only way may be forward. Variants are included for Day/Night/Blizzard/Mist.
- Spiral Path - At the peak of this mountain, a tightly spiralling path leads the last stretch to the summit. Are your characters seeking an ancient monument said to be here, or just a vantage point to scout for their next adventure? Variants are included for Day/Night and with/without trees or a stone monument. Further variants are included with the monument glowing/deactivated.
- Snowy River Trail - A wide stretch of snowy forest running alongside a river heading down from the mountains.
- Bloodmine - Carved into the mountainside, this mine seeks to extract the precious minerals that are said to be riddled through these treacherous hills. This particular mine in their quest for bloodstone, have broken through into a forgotten cavern containing an unusual summoning circle. Variants are included for Blood stone, ice stone, a mushroom cavern or an empty cave.
