Gothic Village – Eastern Barricade

As your party trudges through the muddy path emerging from the pine forest, the chilling howls of unnaturally driven wolves close in behind them. Bats swarm above, the stormy skies thick with dread—until a lone arrow whistles through the air, striking down one of the beasts.

Ahead, the path is lit by flickering torchlight. A hastily built barricade of broken wood, barrels, and smashed furniture blocks the road. Villagers with bows, faces pale with fear, wave your party forward through the fog.

Behind them, the twisted spires of a gothic village vanish into the gloom. The town is under siege—not by soldiers, but by the relentless dead.

A villager shouts, “You’d best get behind the barricade—before they crawl out of the dark. I hope you can fight!”

This map captures the forest’s edge where a muddy cobblestone road leads into the eastern outskirts of a gothic town under siege.

• A line of farmhouses and fencing create a natural chokepoint
